The 社区学院教学证书ificate is a graduate-level program that provides a course of study for those seeking to prepare for a career in community college teaching. This program is also designed to serve working professionals in the field who are seeking career advancement. The program offers a well-rounded learning experience based on theory blended with a teaching practicum.

Please note: The program consists of 2 academic courses (GED 548 & GED 549), followed by a teaching internship (GED 594S). 完成GED 548 & GED 549 each with a grade of "B" or better is a PRE-REQUISITE for the internship (GED 594S); you CANNOT sign up for the internship without first successfully completing the required academic courses.

Participants should hold a master's degree in a subject area taught at the community college level, or be in a final phase of a graduate degree program, or be currently employed as an instructor in a community college.

Upon completing the Certificate program, participants will be able to

Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges

This 18th edition of Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges is an update of the disciplines lists including those noticed to the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges (Board of Governors). The handbook incorporates changes that resulted from recommendations from the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges and its delegates, and a comprehensive review of regulations regarding the minimum qualifications and disciplines lists. This edition amends the previous edition and is effective immediately to be employed as appropriate in each community college district.

The 社区学院教学证书ificate is conducted both in-person and online using Zoom 和 Canvas Learning Management System. Live virtual class sessions will be conducted at the day/time indicated in the program schedule. Attendance at all class sessions is required.
